Igor Dodon: Parties at power call citizens to a peaceful march

President Igor Dodon announced that the parties that formed the parliamentary majority (PSRM, PPDA, PAS) are calling on citizens on Sunday, June 16 to a march to support the new leadership of the Republic of Moldova. According to the president, the decision came as a result of "thousands of messages" received from citizens who want to support the new leadership.

"We and our colleagues,  the leadership of the parties that created this parliamentary majority decided to call the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to a march of the people in support of the new government. We invite you to a peaceful rally on Sunday, June 16 at 11 am here in front of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The more we will be, the sooner the power transfer will take place", said Igor Dodon.

"Everyone to rally, on the Great Sunday",  added Igor Dodon.

We remind that on June 8, 2019, the Block  ACUM and PSRM signed a temporary agreement for the collaboration and formation of a parliamentary majority. Thus, Zinaida Greceanii was elected as Parliament Speaker and Maia Sandu was appointed Head of the Government. On the same day, the new Government was appointed. The Constitutional Court has issued several rulings announcing that all laws and resolutions adopted on June 8 are declared unconstitutional. CCM declared unconstitutional the decision passed by the deputies of the Parliament for the election of Zinaida Greceanii as president of the Legislature. Also on June 8, the Court declared unconstitutional the decree appointing Prime Minister Maia Sandu and the new Government.
