Ilan Şor could run out of parliamentary salary

After missing for more than half a year from office, the deputy of the Political Party Şor, Ilan Şor, could remain without parliamentary salary. A decision in this regard has been made following the meeting of the Commission, Appointments and Immunities, reports Moldova 1.

Currently, the Legislative regulation stipulates that the absence of the deputy without a justified reason during a month at three sessions of the Parliament or of the permanent commission of which s/he is a member is sanctioned with the loss of 50% of the salary and other allowances for the following month, while the absence of at four meetings is sanctioned with the loss of 75% of the salary.

The Shor Party's press service said it would later comment on the Commission's decision.

"I think Shor doesn't deserve any salary. Not only him, any MP does not deserve a salary if s/he ignores the work of Parliament. But note, I mentioned earlier, that the suspension of the salary must take place, but not by a simple modification of an office decision. Not because of this, but someone will attack in court and win,” said deputy Sergiu Sârbu.
