Sixth meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform, held in Chisinau

European officials expect the power from Chisinau to show political will to implement reforms in justice and fight corruption, but also to cease attacks on NGO representatives, Radio Moldova reports.

The statements were made yesterday at the sixth meeting of the Civil Society Platform EU- Republic of Moldova. The head of the European Union Delegation in Chisinau, Peter Michalko, said that in June last year, the new power started to launch initiatives in several areas, including combating corruption, reforming justice and depoliticizing state institutions. According to Ambassador Peter Michalko, the expectations of the European Community from the Government voted in November 2019 are the same: political will and concrete actions in the priority areas.

The EU-Moldova civil society platform monitors the implementation by the authorities of the commitments assumed under the Association Agreement between our country and the European community.
