The leader of the European People's Party (EPP), Donald Tusk, claims that he will continue to support the Republic of Moldova. This was announced by the elected president, Maia Sandu, following a telephone conversation with the foreign official.

"We have agreed that we will draw up a list of concrete and urgent needs for our country, so that we can get help as soon as possible. I thanked Mr Tusk on my behalf and that of the Moldovan citizens for their firm support over time, for the solidarity and friendship of the EPP and European partners, "Mai Sandu wrote on her social media page.

Maia Sandu also specified that Donald Tusk "congratulated her for the victory and for the election of the Moldovan citizens - the choice of a democratic, anti-corruption and prosperous path for the Republic of Moldova".
