Marian Lupu could become the President of the Court of Accounts

Democrat Marian Lupu could become the president of the Court of Accounts. At the today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, it was announced that Lupu's file, the only candidate for this position, was admitted, Moldova 1 reports.

Lupu could replace Veaceslav Untila, who resigned and was selected as candidate for the position of director of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation.

Marian Lupu is due to attend the interviews tomorrow, February 6, starting at 11:00. After conducting the interview, the Commission will submit to the President of the Parliament and to the Legal Committee, Appointments and Immunities the selected candidate, to be approved by Parliament's plenary.

The President of the Court of Auditors is appointed for a five-year term.
