Mihai Popşoi will present an alternative report of the commission on the unconstitutional putsch

Deputy chairman of the Parliament, MP of PAS , Mihai Popşoi, said today at a press conference that although he resigned as chairman of the commission of inquiry on the "unconstitutional putsch", he will come up with an alternative report if the socialist MPs refuse to continue investigations.

"The report of the commission, which I had the honor to lead, is almost over. If the socialist colleagues present their report or refuse to do so, I will present a report anyway", said the MP.

Former chairman of the commission says that some of the members of the Government, who allegedly were part of the "unconstitutional putsch", now lead the commissions of inquiry.

"We want to make the socialist colleagues lead the commission of inquiry. I would like to see Mr. Novac or Bolea presenting the Report, resuming the investigation from the beginning, organizing hearings, maybe they will be luckier. We received the reply from the Venice Commission last week and we found that former members of the CC are subject to criminal liability for their decisions in exceptionally serious cases”, said Mihai Popşoi.
