Justice Minister: Sandu Government is the only Executive who wants a true justice reform

Justice Minister Olesea Stamate argues that the Sandu Government is the only Executive who wants a true justice reform. Justice Minister Olesea Stamate said that the project proposed by Maia Sandu is not different from what the ruling coalition signed in September, Radio Moldova reports.

"If the socialist colleagues consider that the bill is unconstitutional, I have a question to them, how they voted the bill in September, which is similar to the one for which the Government assumed responsibility. The mechanism does not change almost at all. The PM files candidates to the CSP instead of the Justice Ministry. For me, change is not essential and does not differ. If they voted for this unconstitutional project, then take responsibility. This Government is probably the first to seek a true and deep reform in justice. In case, another Government comes to power, I hope it will continue reforms in justice”, said Minister Olesea Stamate.

We should mention that the MPs convened today a meeting. The agenda addressed one matter: speech by the Prime Minister Maia Sandu, who on November 6, assumed responsibility for amending the Law of the Prosecutor's Office. The PSRM announced about the no confidence motion against the Maia Sandu Government. The Parliament will examine the no confidence motion within 3 days.
