Moldova pleads for parliamentary cooperation with Romania
The official visit of Prime Minister Maia Sandu continued in Parliament. She met the President of the Romanian Senate Calin Popescu Tariceanu and the President of the Chamber of Deputies Ion-Marcel Ciolacu.
The representatives of the Chisinau delegation are confident that a parliamentary platform will be established in order to promote the interests of the citizens of Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Prime Minister Maia Sandu stressed the need for Romanian authorities’ constant support for the citizens of Moldova, reads a press release of the Executive.
The talks of the Moldovan delegation continued with the president of PNL Ludovic Orban and the president of USR Dan Barna. PNL and USR assured us that they will continue to be Moldova’s friends in the Romanian Parliament and in the European Parliament and that they will promote the interests of our citizens and the pro-European agenda of the Chisinau Government.
The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova consisted of the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Andrei Năstase, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, MPs Iurie Reniţă, Sergiu Litvinenco, Ion Ceban and Prime Minister’s adviser Vlad Kulminski.
Yesterday, July 2, Prime Minister Maia Sandu met with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă.
Prime Minister Maia Sandu will visit Brussels today and will have meetings with top European officials.
