Parliament of Romania adopts a statement to support the new Government in Chisinau

The Romanian Parliament has adopted a statement to support the new Government in Chisinau, headed by Maia Sandu, and Moldova’s firm commitment to the European path. The document was adopted by the Chamber of MPs and the Senate of Romania with a majority of votes, IPN reports.

The Romanian Parliament encourages the entire political class in Moldova to sign a declaration on  firm commitment to an irreversible European path of the country, as well as the reforms needed to accomplish this goal. The document calls on the Romanian Government to step up efforts to fully establish Moldova and EU's cooperation and to mobilize all support measures, including financially, to support the Moldovan Government in reforming and implementing the EU's political and association agenda.

By this document, the  Romanian Parliament is committed to boosting the interparliamentary dialogue in support of the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova.

Maia Sandu announced that she would pay an official visit to Bucharest on July 2 at the invitation of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
