The political parties join forces in combating the COVID-19 pandemic

The parties act together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. Several political groups have launched fundraising campaigns to help the medical system in our country, reports Moldova 1.

The Democrats intend to raise funds through the online platform support.md. Later, the money will be transferred to the health system. At the same time, PDM intends to distribute food to vulnerable people.

"Starting today, we in the PDM will launch a series of actions, collect and contribute to providing equipment and devices, masks, robes, overalls to medical assistants, doctors, family doctors in villages, but also in district hospitals that are missing," said Elena Bacalu, PDM deputy.

In a press release, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) announces that for a week, since the inception of the Solidarity Fund, it has collected 146 thousand lei from over 60 donors. PAS delivered protective equipment to district hospitals in Glodeni, Falesti, Causeni, Anenii Noi, Straseni, Hincesti, Soroca and the clinical hospital for infectious diseases "Toma Ciorbă" in Chişinău, and since the beginning of the crisis, PAS has allocated over 545 thousands lei for combating COVID-19.

Previously, the Socialist deputies donated a salary for one month to the fund for fighting the new type virus, and the total amount transferred is over one million lei.

According to a statement from the Parliament, the people elected by the PPDA and the Sor Party donated one day's work, and the independent deputy Alexandru Oleinic - over 14 thousand lei.
