National Unity Party launches "Memory Week" campaign

The National Unity Party (PUN) organized a flashmob with the slogan "We do not forget", in front of the Deportations Monument in the Railway square, during which it launched the "Memory Week" campaign. According to the organizers, the campaign aims to commemorate the historical events of June-July, reports Mesager.

"During this week, from June 28 to July 6, we will be in several localities of the Republic of Moldova, we will record memorials, cemeteries and monuments installed in memory of victims of repression and Romanian soldiers who fell for the liberation of Bessarabia. By this action,  we want to pay homage to all those who suffered during the Soviet occupation. All these events are in a relationship of reciprocity, and the beginning of these tragic events in our history is June 28, 1940 which recorded the surrender of Bessarabia by Romania to the Soviet Union ", said Octavian Ţîcu, PUN president.

PUN representatives announced that in this campaign, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, who were related to the events described, will be able to post their families' stories, accompanied by pictures and recordings, documents and testimonies.
