PAS, PPDA requests the annulment of the contest’s results for the position of director of the ANRE Board of Directors

The members of the parliamentary committee for economy, budget and finance, PAS deputy Dumitru Alaiba and PPDA deputy Stela Macari request the cancellation of the results of the competition for the position of director of the ANRE Board of Directors, on the grounds that the evaluation of the candidates was made in a non-transparent way.

"A public contest does not just mean an online interview, it means a public - visible, credible. Because ANRE, as an institution, bases its authority on citizens' trust. This institution must act in the interest of the citizen, and then it is essential that it is absolutely public and transparent,” said PAS deputy, Dumitru Alaiba.

At the same time, the members of the commission requested the relaunch of the competition for the position of director of the ANRE board.

"The evaluation of the candidates took place in an absolutely non-transparent way. At the end of this competition, the cumulative score was not calculated in the presence of all the members of the commission, the evaluation sheets by which the members of the commission attributed this evaluation score were collected and about the final cumulative result we were announced only today at the committee meeting. I requested the annulment of the results of the contest on the grounds that their public character was violated and we demanded the relaunch of the contest,” stated the member of the parliamentary commission, the deputy of the Dignity and Truth Platform, Stela Macari.

TRM.MD recalls that, on February 12, the evaluation of the two candidates entered in the contest took place. On February 14, a press release was published on the Parliament's website, informing the Legislature that Violina Şpac is the candidate selected by the Economy, Budget and Finance Committee as Director of the Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation. Her candidacy is to be submitted to the Parliament plenary for approval.
