PDM asked STI to provide data on the declared revenues of the Bloc ACUM’s MPs

The faction of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) filed a request with the State Tax Service of the Republic of Moldova to find out the declared revenues of the Political Bloc ACUM’s lawmakers. Contacted by phone, Deputy Sergiu Sârbu told Radio Moldova News that the demand came after the press and several public investigations revealed that the deputies of the bloc made several transactions, started the construction of some buildings and carried out other suspicious actions, reports Radio Moldova.

"We have made several requests to the authorities of the Republic of Moldova, especially the State Tax Service regarding all taxes and duties paid in the last 10 years by the deputies of the bloc ACUM. We want to see how much these MPs contributed to the country's welfare, to national public income, because they are quite active in asking for public money reports, but we want to know if they generally contributed to that money," said PDM deputy, Sergiu Sarbu.

In the context, PPDA leader Andrei Năstase said he was open and free to be investigated and verified because he had nothing to hide.

"When I came to politics, I made with my colleagues an appeal to the entire independent press, all the investigative press to check from all points of view. They checked and of course I said then and say now, we are open to any justice in the world," said PPDA leader Andrei Nastase.

In this context, PAS leader Maia Sandu mentioned that one of her priorities was to create in the Republic of Moldova the National Independent Integrity Agency that would provide details on the income of any state dignitary.

"We want a National Independent Integrity Agency that would check the legality of the income and the provenance of the property of all civil servants, the dignitaries, to ensure that all - Sandu, Năstase, Sirbu and all others - can be checked and if there is any question about the properties of a certain person, if he can not justify the lawfulness then to respond in accordance with the law," said PAS leader Maia Sandu.
