The DA Platform signed a motion of censure against the Chicu Government

The parliamentary faction of the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) signed a motion of censure against the Chicu Government today, July 14th. The deputies appealed to the other parliamentary factions, in particular, to the deputies of the Action and Solidarity Party to support the motion and to sign it by Thursday.

"The motion is finalized and now we will sign it. We need a change, a new government, to get to the facts," said the deputy of the DA Platform Dinu Plîngău.

The DA Platform also urges the other parliamentary factions to sign the motion. According to them, the Government led by Ion Chicu is a "catastrophe" and must leave.

"We call on other deputies to sign, because we can no longer tolerate this catastrophic government that is in the Republic of Moldova. We need a change, a new government," Dinu Plîngău also declared.

"It simply came to our notice then. We have to be firm in position. We sign this motion by Thursday, because there is a specific filing procedure. Respectively, if the motion is not announced this week, it will not be able to be submitted until the parliamentary vacation," declared the president of the parliamentary party of the DA Platform, Alexandr Slusari.

"It's a maturity test. Let's look at the situation on the horizon of a political stalemate and not our own interests. If we do not change this Government, the consequences will be felt during the electoral campaign and later," said the deputy of the DA Platform Igor Munteanu.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu has not yet come up with a reaction.

The motion of censure on the activity of the Government can be initiated by at least 1/4 of the elected deputies and is adopted with the vote of the majority of those present at the meeting. In case of adopting the motion of censure, the Prime Minister will present to the President of the country within maximum three days the resignation of the Government.
