DA platform comes up with a bill that provides for the payment of water consumed, not for losses

They demand that the residents of Chisinau stop paying for the water they did not consume. This is the request of the municipal councilors of the Dignity and Truth Platform, who declared today in a briefing at the Parliament, that the tariff paid by the consumers for drinking water is much higher than the cost for water production, Mesager reports.

In this sense, the parliamentary faction of the DA Platform together with the DA faction of the Chisinau Municipal Council registered a draft law, which stipulates that people do not pay the losses, but only the volume of water actually consumed.

"If this bill is voted, then consumers will have to pay for the water consumed, not the expenses or system losses that are now included in the bills. By this law, the Apa-Canal operator and other operators will be obliged to conclude individual contracts with consumers, and the connections will already be not at the entrance to the residential blocks, but in people's apartments ", said the deputy of the DA Platform, Vasile Nastase .

We remind you that, in February this year, the National Agency for Energy Regulation approved the increase of the tariff by 43 lei, up to 1132 lei for one Gcal. Then ANRE explained that the tariff for hot water changed in 2011.
