DA platform proposes five priorities for justice sector reform

The DA platform proposes that the corruption actions of judges and prosecutors in Moldova be punished with up to 20 years in prison. They presented a plan consisting of five priorities for the justice sector reform, Mesager reports.

In a press conference, the MP Dinu Plângău said that all the decision-makers in justice must be evaluated in terms of professionalism and integrity, and the Superior Council of Prosecutors and the Council of Magistracy must be reformed.

"The extraordinary evaluation of all judges and prosecutors in terms of integrity by using the lie detector, extending the wealth evaluation mechanism on the relatives of dignitaries, restructuring of the National Integrity Authority, amendment of the Criminal Code in order to equalize corruption actions as crimes against the state, the reform of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and of the Superior Council of Magistracy, so that the composition of these institutions does not depend on the changing will of the politics of Moldova ", said Dinu Plângău.
