President Igor Dodon in Munich: Relations with the EU must be to the benefit of Moldova and its citizens

President Igor Dodon had a meeting with Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy during his visit to Munich that hosts the International Security Conference. The head of state noted on his Facebook page that during the dialogue he reiterated the strategic objective of the presidential institution, which is to build a balanced foreign policy between the East and the West, Mesager reports.

According to the president, relations with the European Union (EU) must be to the benefit of Moldova and of its citizens but not at the expense of good relations with the Russian Federation.

Also, Igor Dodon says he thanked the EU for  support and financial assistance offered to our country in carrying out several projects, especially in the educational, social and cultural field.

In the context of the parliamentary elections, Igor Dodon stressed that the future and the development prospects of Moldova depend directly on the outcome of these elections.
