Justice reforms in Moldova, discussed in Brussels
President Maia Sandu pays an official visit to Brussels and had a meeting with the Chief Prosecutor of the European Public Prosecutor's Office Laura Codruţa Kövesi, during which the judicial reforms were discussed.
"We discussed the need to push for reforms in the justice system in Moldova. We also expressed our mutual interest in establishing a collaborative relationship between the European Public Prosecutor's Office and the anti-corruption institutions of the Republic of Moldova. It is a first step to initiate and carry out joint activities in the fight against smuggling and money laundering ", said Maia Sandu.
We remind that, during the visit, Maia Sandu will have meetings with several top officials from the European Union institutions.
