Pavel Filip: Relationship with the U.S. is very important to Moldova
The bilateral relationship with the United States is very important to Moldova, Prime Minister Pavel Filip told in a meeting with the U.S. Congress delegation visiting Chisinau, IPN reports.
“We want to fully harness the economic and investment potential of the Moldova-U.S. bilateral relationship”, Pavel Filip was quoted by the Government press service as saying.
Pavel Filip noted the successful cooperation between our countries and highlighted in particular the support offered by the United States in the effort to settle the transnistrian conflict. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening our country’s security overall and energy security in particular, with the United State’s support being particularly valuable in this respect.
The prime minister added that this year marks 20 years since the establishment of the bilateral Moldova-North Carolina partnership, which is an example of an enduring beneficial cooperation. Currently, with the support of North Carolina, a number of projects in the fields of defense, education and other areas are being implemented in Moldova.
