Descendants of the healthcare staff who died of COVID-19 to get one-off allowance
The descendants of the healthcare staff who died due to the new type of Coronavirus could receive a one-off allowance of 100 thousand lei. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the Parliamentary Committee on Social Protection, Health and Family. According to Ruxanda Glavan, one of the authors of the initiative, the infection rate among doctors in Moldova is very high, and the state must back the frontline healthcare staff, Mesager reports.
"We consider that the one-off allowance of 100 thousand lei that should benefit the representatives of the families, the surviving spouse, the children or the parents is a minimum expression of respect and compassion for these families. Doctors are really involved in a war. For many it is invisible, for others, unfortunately, they don't think it exists, but most people die including medical staff", said Ruxanda Glavan, deputy "For Moldova ".
The bill is to be debated in the plenary of the Parliament.
