Will opposition parties back the no confidence motion against Sandu Government

The Democratic Party of Moldova will convene with the faction and will decide whether to back the no confidence motion against Sandu Government. This was announced by the Democratic leader Pavel Filip.

"We will meet with the PDM faction. There may also be a need for discussion within the PDM statutory bodies to take a decision. We will not hold discussions either with the Socialist Party or with the ACUM Block”, said Pavel Filip.

Marina Tauber, member of the "Shor" Party says she is going to organize consultations with the faction.

"We will convene a meeting of our factions, first of all, with Ilan Şor", said Marina Tauber.

Today, November 8, during the plenary session of the Parliament, the PSRM filed a no confidence motion against  Sandu Government. Under the procedure, the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Appointments and Immunities has to examine within 72 hours the no confidence motion, Radio Moldova reports.

Subsequently, the commission must convene the Standing Bureau of Parliament to set the date of the plenary sitting in order to debate the motion.

51 MPs need to vote in order to dismiss Sandu Government.
