ANSA reports other 4 cases of rabies

The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) reported that last week that there were four cases of rabies in two cattle, one in the village of Cerlina, Soroca and another in a fox in Straseni district and in a dog in Rezina district.

The cow in Cerlina village died before the team of ANSA arrived, the household is under quarantine and the owner will get a compensation from the special fund of ANSA.

Also, the animals in the village were vaccinated against rabies. ANSA warns the population to immediately report to vets if they notice that animals behave unusually.

Each year, the number of deaths caused by rabies reaches 50,000 worldwide.
