Nurses suspected of illegally prescribing psychotropic substances
Three nurses from the Health Center in Rascani and a 60-year-old man are criminally investigated for being suspected in the illegal prescription of psychotropic substances, the General Police Inspectorate (PGI) announced.
During the investigation and criminal prosecution, the law enforcement officers carried out searches in the offices and at the homes of the suspects, where they found prescriptions with the stamp of the family doctor completed for the procurement of psychotropic substances, clonazepam, diazepam, alprazolam, tramadol and morphine.
At the same time, 200 lei marked and certified with the prescription of psychotropic drugs were detected in the office of a family nurse within the Center.
At the moment, two people are under arrest, one of them at home, the other two are being investigated at large.
If found guilty, people risk prison from 3 to 7 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to carry out a certain activity for a term of 3 to 5 years.
Further actions are taken to establish all the circumstances and other persons involved.
