Books in Romanian for students from Comrat

Students from the Theoretical High School "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat can enjoy new volumes of books in Romanian. The shelves of the school library have been enriched these days with a new and consistent book donation from the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Association of Romanians from the Republic of Moldova. With the help of the Romanian Embassy, in this educational institution, a new study block is being built, which will allow doubling the number of students, reports Moldova 1.

"We have a pandemic situation, but let's not miss the best tool of knowledge - the book. The school library is the luckiest, it will preserve this heritage," said Svetlana Stoinov, the director of the Theoretical High School "Mihai Eminescu".

At the "Mihai Eminescu" High School in Comrat, 500 volumes of Romanian and universal literature arrived.

The donation was made by the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Investors Association in our country, within the “AIR of Culture” campaign, which wants to inspire children to realize their dreams through reading.

"We promise that it is not the only action and together we will identify with the teachers from the high school many, many actions that we will carry out together with those from Romania," said Dan Nuţiu, president of the Romanian Investors Association.

This is not the first aid that Romania offers to the high school in Comrat. With the support of the authorities across the Prut, a new study block is under construction that will double the number of students. The total value of the project is over 20 million lei.

Currently, about 300 students from Gagauzia, Basarabeasca and Cantemir districts study in this high school.
