They will have a European playground and gyms. The students from Nisporeni look forward to the new conditions. The renovation works are being carried out, and the commissioning of the stadium is scheduled for September next year. The arena will also host international football matches, Moldova 1 reports.

About 30 people work daily to build the stadium. Most of the work is currently being done on the playground.

"Earth, gravel, sand, irrigation, irrigation pipe, drainage. We start work from 7.00 to 19.00-20.00. They also bring us materials during the night. We build based on European standards ", said Petru Butnaru, site manager.

The renovation works started in 2018. Later, a hotel was built that accommodates athletes.

"It started from the stands, fences, everything was demolished, we built the hotel from scratch, it's already 95 percent done. Two gyms are also being rebuilt, which will be renovated in the third stage. The sports school has 640 students, a school with very good results, we have European champions, world champions ", said Grigore Braşoveanu, director of the Nisporeni sports school.

The students of the sports school can't wait to benefit from the new conditions.

"I have been playing football for about 10 years and I have very high expectations from this sport, I want to become a world footballer. At this stadium, I hope there will be European conditions to practice football further ", said Valeriu Arteni, a student at the sports school from Nisporeni.

"A gym for training. I do gymnastics on the trampoline and I want to become like  the champion Ion Şcurco, Radu Ciorici and even I want to be world champion ", said Dumitru Tîmbur, gymnastics champion.

"I have been practicing this sport for eight years. I ranked third at the European Championships under 15 from 2017 and third place at the European Championships under 17 from 2018 . This project contributes a lot to the development of the sport and  promotion of  Moldova ", said Mihai Musteaţă, master in sports.

The district stadium in Nisporeni was built in 1980 and has never been renovated. The total cost of the arena modernization project amounts to about 100 million lei. It is part of a comprehensive tourism development program in the central part of  Moldova.
