The Culture Palace in Soroca hosts an exhibition titled "Constantin Brâncuşi – Pasarea Maiastra" and the musical - poetic show "In memoriam Constantin Brâncuşi, Grigore Vieru and Adrian Păunescu". The event was organized by the Romanian Culture Institute (ICR) "Mihai Eminescu", reports Moldova 1 TV.

The documents, photographs, images of the works of the famous Constantin Brâncuşi offered visitors with valuable information about the fate and work of the artist who revolutionized modern sculpture. Constantin Brâncuşi National Day was celebrated on Wednesday in Romania.

"Tribute to one of the greatest sculptors of mankind of all time. We also focused on the masterpieces from Târgul Jiu: The Endless Column, the Gate of the Kiss and the Table of Silence ”, said Valeriu Matei, the director of ICR" Mihai Eminescu ".

The event dedicated to the 144th anniversary of the birth of Constantin Brancusi, 85 years after the birth of Grigore Vieru and a decade since the poet Adrian Păunescu passed away,  continued with the musical literary show.

The event was organized by Ana Bejan, president of the "Grigore Vieru" Foundation. She is praised for the special projects to perpetuate the memory of the great personalities of the nation.

"February is the month of Vieru, in fact every day of the year. The poet visited us often from Soroca, he came with Ioan Alexandru, Adrian Păunescu, with Doina and Ion. I thought it would be nice to organize such a show in Soroca”, said Ana Bejan.

The artists promised that they would return to Soroca, and the exhibition "Constantin Brâncuşi – Pasarea Maiastra" is to be presented in several educational institutions in the district.
