Former Mayor of Tiraspol, Andrei Bespalchenko, found dead in Ukraine

Former Mayor of Tiraspol, Andrei Bespalchenko, was found breathlessly in an abandoned area in the village of Vapniarka (Ukraine). The local press writes that he was discovered next to his car, his hands were tied and visible traces of violence on his face, reports Moldova 1.

In September 2016, Andrei Bespalchenko participated in the electoral campaign for the election of the so-called leader of the separatist region on the left bank of the Dniester, supporting Evghenii Shevchuk, who lost the elections, after which the former mayor of Tiraspol fled to Ukraine.

Representatives of the National Police in the Odessa region started a criminal case for intentional murder, robbery and car theft.
