They call on the OSCE to get involved in ensuring respect for human rights in the Transnistrian region

Human rights violations that have intensified recently in the Transnistrian region amid the COVID-19 pandemic are particularly alarming. The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic at a meeting with the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Claus Neukirch, Moldova 1 reports.

Cristina Lesnic called for the active involvement of the OSCE in resolving individual cases, but also for ensuring respect for human rights on the left bank of the Dniester.

Officials also discussed the security of the November 1 election in the Transnistrian region, as well as the security of citizens.

The parties also analyzed the possible organization of a new round of negotiations in the 5 + 2 format.
