Construction of the Olympic stadium in Comrat faces last minute preparations

The construction of the Olympic stadium in Comrat faces last minute preparations. Soon, the inhabitants of Comrat will enjoy a football stadium with a capacity of five thousand seats, a covered hall for various team sports and other facilities. The complex is built with the support of the Turkish Government, which provided about ten million euros in this regard, Moldova 1 reports.

On almost the entire surface of the complex will be arranged a playground with a capacity of 5,000 seats, training ground for basketball, volleyball and mini-football, locker rooms and showers for athletes, office space for administration. The total area of ​​the complex is about five hectares.

 The sports complex is built on the site of the former stadium, which was over 60 years old.

"We are currently building a car park. We hope that after the renovation of this stadium, many people, children and all those who love sports will come here. We are happy to participate in the construction. I'm from this area, I spent all my childhood here, I had a stadium and it was very interesting ", said Alexandru Milev, worker.

"Now we cover everything with tiles. It will not be just for athletes. It is intended for sports enthusiasts, but also for those who visit our city, children and the elderly, eager to walk. The most important thing is to have a desire for sports ", said Constantin Topal, worker.

 Now, the workers are arranging the adjacent territory.

According to the General Directorate of Youth and Sports of Gagauzia Autonomy, the new arena will host renowned competitions at national and international level.
