Parascovia Cotoman from Ermoclia - the woman who weaves works of art

Fashion trends are making more and more people opt for natural fabric items, because they are more pleasant to the touch, but also more harmless to the environment. But before you throw away the pieces that no longer serve you, think that beds or lacquers can be made from them. The recycled canvas paintings, with traditional motifs from the grandparents' time, made by Parascovia Cotoman from Ermoclia village, Ştefan Vodă, have come to beautify both the homes of Moldovans left at home and the homes of Moldovans abroad, reports Moldova 1.

Most of the time, people throw away their old clothes. Few of us, however, can imagine a stylish rug to beautify our homes, made of recycled fabrics. The craftswoman from Parascovia Cotoman, from Ermoclia, Ştefan Vodă, who is also called “the weaver of the village”, uses textile scraps to make rugs.

The talent with which the craftswoman weaves the carpets and all the weaving techniques she inherited from her mother.

"She weaved all the time and I was little, in the second grade, and I sat next to her. That's what I learned, and then I started on my own," says Parascovia Cotoman, a folk craftsman.

When she was 15, she wove the first rug, which is still kept in the big house. The woman claims that she did not have an easy life, worked hard to raise her children and did not have time to weave. It wasn't until she retired that her daughter urged her to start making rugs, especially since she had always wanted to.

The manufacturing process is very meticulous and requires enormous patience, but also skill.
