The football stadium in Comrat will be launched in August

He inspected the construction works of the football stadium in Comrat, which is built with the support of Turkey, but also met with the Gagauz leader. The head of the state, Igor Dodon paid a working visit to Comrat. He argues that such sports complexes would be built in other localities as well. Dodon also met with members of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia, reports Moldova 1.

"In August, the complex will be put into operation. Now the football field is finished. The walls are to be raised for enclosed spaces. In a month and a half, the roof will be laid," said Gagauzian president Irina Vlah.

The head of state also met with deputies of the Gagauz People's Assembly. During the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, they discussed the resumption of the activity of the interparliamentary group for a series of legislative initiatives proposed by the Gagauzian deputies. That, after the end of last year, the Gagauzian party suspended the activity of this commission because the Moldovan Parliament adopted a package of laws without taking into account their opinion.

"We have discussed a number of issues regarding Gagauzia's wishes. We hope that they will be resolved. At the People's Assembly, we will discuss the restoration of an inter parliamentary working group. The People's Assembly has already formed the group. I hope this working group will work," said the president of the People's Assembly, Vladimir Kîssa.

"I support the adoption of the law proposed by the People's Assembly in Gagauzia. In 2018, the former parliamentary majority adopted a series of laws related to Gagauzia. We did not sign them and returned them to Parliament. Today we talked about the procedure, about the fate of these laws and we can register them in Parliament on behalf of the president,” said the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon.

Igor Dodon intends to regularly organize such meetings with deputies from the People's Assembly in Gagauzia.
