Moldsilva Agency starts cutting Christmas trees
The Moldsilva agency announces that it has started the process of cutting Christmas trees. The height of the trees varies from 1 meter to 4 meters and over, and the price starts from 44 lei per meter.
The institution warns the citizens that the illicit logging of pines is punishable in line with the legislation in force. Thus, natural persons risk fines from 40 to 50 conventional units, and legal entities from 400 to 500 conventional units or unpaid work for the community and payment of the damage caused by illicit logging of trees and plantations.
Traditionally, during this period, raids involving forestry companies, the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the Police Inspectorates are organized systematically in the forest fund.
According to the Moldsilva Agency, over 50 thousand Christmas trees will be put up for sale this year.
