Five other people infected with the new type of Coronavirus have died

In the last 24 hours, 86 patients with suspicion of COVID-19 were hospitalized within the COVID-19 Center in Chisinau, informs the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

259 people are in severe health condition. 3975 people were treated of COVID-19.

To date, 1,522 cases of infection have been confirmed among health care workers.

MSMPS informs about the registration of other deaths caused by COVID-19:

Death 269: 69-year-old woman from Chisinau. Hospitalized on May 11, at the Balti Clinical Hospital. Comorbidities: chronic kidney disease, hypertension, heart failure, cerebral edema.

Death 270: 45-year-old man from Soroca district. Hospitalized in serious health condition on May 24, at the Soroca District Hospital. Comorbidities: heart disease, mental retardation, advanced obesity, hypertension.

Death 271: 63-year-old man from Gagauzia. Hospitalised on May 23, at the Republican Clinical Hospital. Comorbidities: liver failure, hydroelectrolytic disorders, chronic heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic pyelonephritis, obesity grade II.

Death 272: 55-year-old man from Chisinau. Hospitalised on May 11, at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: grade III hypertension, hypertensive heart disease.

Death 273: 81-year-old woman from Chisinau. Hospitalized in an extremely serious health condition on May 18, at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: sequelae of stroke, myocardial infarction, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
