Andrei Nastase requests suspension from office of CC judges and the the lifting of parliamentary immunity of PDM leader

Interior Minister Andrei Năstase calls for the temporary suspension of the Constitutional Court judges, their accountability and the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc, reports Radio Moldova.

In the denunciation lodged with the General Prosecutor's Office and published in the Chisinau press, the six constitutional judges are charged with "the offense of attempted usurpation of power in the state".

The Minister of the Interior considers that the actions of the judges of the Constitutional Court have led to the establishment of a dualism of power and, consequently, of a crisis, which affected and extrapolated the entire society due to the ambiguous and abusive interpretation of constitutional norms that were sufficiently clear.
