The emeritus artist of the Republic of Moldova, Stefan Petrache, has died
The folk music performer, the emeritus artist of the Republic of Moldova, Stefan Petrache, died on the evening of January 13th.
The announcement was made by the interpreter's daughter.
"Stefan Petrache died, an unmistakable voice with which generations have grown. It is sad when we lose a personality, but it will remain eternally alive through the songs loved by a nation,” wrote on Facebook, the mayor of the capital Ion Ceban.
Stefan Petrache was born on May 8, 1949 in the village of Vânatori, Nisporeni district.
Ştefan Petrache, emeritus artist since 1986, has played in the bands "Noroc", "Horizont", "Contemporana" and in the ensemble "Plai", Radio Moldova reports.
Since 2009, Stefan Petrache has been suffering from diabetes. Disease and stress have caused a severe form of neurodermatitis.
