WB will finance the modernization of higher education in Moldova
The World Bank will provide a $40 million loan to modernize higher education in the Republic of Moldova. The Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission approved, at today's meeting, the advisory opinion on the opening of negotiations on the draft Financing Agreement, reports Moldova 1.
The beneficiaries of the project will be public universities and educational colleges. The project aims to unify the e-admissions system, to certify the national qualifications framework, to increase the number of programs with national and international accreditation, to identify and approve a financing mechanism in higher education, to increase the number of partnerships between public universities and businesses.
The project is to be implemented for five years, by 2025.
