Bulgaria provided a batch of humanitarian assistance to the Republic of Moldova

Humanitarian aid in the form of protective equipment was provided to the Republic of Moldova by Bulgaria. The humanitarian aid lot contains protective coveralls, goggles and other equipment, the total value of the lot being 22,728 euros, informs Radio Moldova.

"This humanitarian aid is part of Bulgaria's contribution to the European initiative in support of the Eastern Partnership. Although each of our countries is struggling with COVID-19, we cannot help but help each other, because that is the only way we can fight the virus," the Bulgarian Ambassador to Moldova, Evgheni Stoycev, declared today during the humanitarian aid event.

The Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria have a bilateral friendly relationship, and this humanitarian aid proves this once again, said Gheorghe Leuca, the Secretary of State within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

All donated equipment is to be distributed to public medical institutions in the country.
