The best teachers of the year were awarded

They have devoted themselves to the profession, educated and continue to form generations worthy of pupils, and today some of them have been awarded, diplomas and much gratitude during the "Prize of the Year 2019", reports Moldova 1.

In the category of the teacher of the year, the first place was awarded to Viorica Stanciu, primary school teacher at "Ion Creangă" Theoretical High School in the capital. According to her, the participation in the contest was a test of strength and a new experience.

"It is a hard work parallel to a daily life, with personal problems, with the family. A successful pedagogue is not just what is written in a CV, he's self-giving, he's total involvement, and he's a harmonious synchronization between pedagogue-teacher, pedagogue-student and pedagogue-child," says Viorica Stanciu.

A sense of pride and gratitude lived the students and parents who came to support the teachers.

The competition was organized by the Education, Youth and Sport Directorate (DGETS) of the Chisinau Municipal Council and gathered 13 contestants. According to the authorities, the contest contributes to the motivation of young specialists.

"We made a nice partnership with the Chişinău Electric Transport Administration and today we offer the trolleybus of the epoch. We will make a trip on Ştefan cel Mare Boulevard, together with the winners of the contest. The prize money is, in my opinion, modest, because a teacher deserves much more, the prize is from three thousand for the third place to ten thousand for the winners," said Rodica Guţu, the head of DGETS.

The "Pedagogue of the Year" contest is at its 15th edition.
