Moldovan citizens to travel to Ukraine with their identity card
The government approved the start of negotiations and the signing of an agreement with the Kiev Executive that will allow Ukrainian and Moldovan citizens to travel to the territory of the other state on the basis of identity documents for internal use, Radio Moldova reports.
Once the agreement enters into force, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be able to travel to Ukraine with their passport, but also with their identity card.
The new agreement will be applied after 30 days from the conclusion of the internal procedures by the signatory parties. It will replace the Agreement on visa-free travel of citizens, drawn up in Kiev on May 18, 2011, which will cease to be valid.
