CNA: Vlad Plahotniuc was not located in the United Kingdom or in Romania
The National Anticorruption Center (CNA) received responses from the United Kingdom and Romania, regarding the search for former PD leader Vlad Plahotniuc. Thus, according to the CNA Press Officer, Angela Starinschi, both Romania and the United Kingdom, officially announced that Vlad Plahotniuc was not located on the territory of those countries, Radio Moldova reports.
Both Romania and the United Kingdom informed us that the interpellations were examined, all the forces were oriented towards the localization of the person but at this stage, at the time the answer was received, he was not identified in the territory of those countries.
In December, in order to identify Vlad Plahotniuc's whereabouts, the authorities sent requests to the Embassies of the United Kingdom and the United States of America in the Republic of Moldova. In addition, the CNA notified the Center for International Police Cooperation, the Embassies of Romania, the United States of America and the United Kingdom in Moldova about the fact that the accused was holding another identity with valid documents, issued to Novak Vladislav.
