"Teleradio-Moldova" enters a stage of transition to a convergent newsroom

Public Institution "Teleradio-Moldova" (TRM) enters a stage of transition to a convergent newsroom. The action aims to modernize, increase the efficiency, but also the competitiveness of the national public broadcaster, Radio Moldova reports.

In this regard, an online meeting was recently organized within the Council of Europe project "Promoting European standards in the audiovisual regulation of the Republic of Moldova". The event brought together the company's management team and Supervisory Board, as well as a team of local and international media experts, who examined a detailed action plan on all human, financial and technical resources needed to unify the newsrooms of the company.

"We want TRM news to reach every citizen, every day and every hour. When they open their mobile phones in the morning, TRM news will become their first choice, when they are behind the wheel, they will listen to the latest news on the radio. A joint newsroom of the company is a critical step for achieving this goal," remarked the general manager of the "Teleradio-Moldova" Company, Olga Bordeianu.

The experts mentioned that an integrated newsroom at "Teleradio-Moldova" will allow the production and distribution of more diverse content on several platforms, will increase editorial consistency and will bring significant financial reductions.
