COVID-19 took the life of another doctor
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announces the death of a doctor in the country, the death being caused by Coronavirus.
"Doctor Boian Gavril, doctor habilitat in medical sciences and practitioner, head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Orthopedics and Anesthesiology "Natalia Gheorghiu", a valuable specialist in pediatric surgery, who has dedicated himself to teaching in medical higher education for over 40 years, contributing to the consolidation of the medical system in the Republic of Moldova and to saving the lives of thousands of children," reads a press release.
Doctor Boian Gavril, aged 74, was hospitalized in the Institute of Emergency Medicine on May 9, transferred from a private medical institution, being positively confirmed with COVID-19.
The death toll from Coronavirus deaths in the Republic of Moldova reached 239.
