COVID-19 in Moldova: 188 new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus

Another 188 new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova, of which 27 in the Transnistrian region. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection also announces six more deaths.

According to the communiqué, today 1,445 tests were performed, of which primary - 1,231 and repeated - 214. The number of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 7,725 cases.

Of the total number of confirmed cases today, 17 are medical workers: 6 - doctors, 7 - nurses, and auxiliary staff - 4.

Another 148 people were healed. The number of the treated persons reached 4,123.

MSMPS also informs about the registration of other deaths caused by COVID-19.

Death 277: 60-year-old man from Balti municipality. Hospitalized on May 20, at the Clinical Hospital in Bălţi. Comorbidities: renal failure, hypertension.

Death 278: 82-year-old woman from Chisinau. Admitted on May 19, at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1. Comorbidities: hypertension degree III, mixed cardiomyopathy, cerebral, renal failure.

Death 279: 58-year-old man from Ceadir-Lunga. Hospitalized on May 20, at the Hospital from Ceadir-Lunga. Comorbidities: liver cirrhosis, ascites.

Death 280: 75-year-old man from Ocnita. Hospitalized on May 25, at Ocnita District Hospital. Comorbidities: hypertension, diabetes.

Death 281: 78-year-old woman from the Transnistrian region. Comorbidities: ischemic heart disease, cardiosclerosis, cardiomyopathy.

Death 282: 65-year-old woman from Drochia district. Interned on May 12, at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: hypertension, diabetes, decompensated hypertensive heart.
