COVID-19 in Moldova: 627 new cases registered
Another 627 new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova, six being imported. The data were announced this evening at a press conference by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS).
"The number of cases is among those anti-records, which exceeded 600 cases. The positive indicator is that another 439 people were healed. The total number of those treated is 32,732," declared the Secretary of State at MSMPS Constantin Rîmiş.
The number of tests performed today is 2,868, including primary - 2,600, and 268 - repeated.
Another 37 new cases of infection were confirmed among health care workers: ten doctors, 19 nurses and eight auxiliary staff. The cases are from several institutions.
According to the data presented, another 15 people were killed by the virus. Thus, the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 reached 1,159 in our country.
At the same time, 564 patients are in serious condition and 38 are undergoing mechanical ventilation.
So far, the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 44,361 in the Republic of Moldova.
