COVID-19 in Moldova: Another 235 people tested positive

Another 235 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in Moldova, three of which in the Transnistrian region. Of the total number of cases, four cases are imported from the Russian Federation, Poland and Italy. At the same time, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS) informs about five other deaths caused by COVID-19.

Death 599: 61-year-old woman from Bălţi municipality, hospitalized at Bălţi Clinical Hospital, on July 5. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. III, hypertensive heart disease.

Death 600: A 66-year-old woman from Chisinau, transferred from the COVID-19 Center to the Institute of Emergency Medicine, on June 23. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. III, obesity gr. II.

Death 601: A 61-year-old man from Orhei district, hospitalized at the Republican Clinical Hospital, on June 12. Comorbidities: hepatic dysfunction, hypertension gr. II, mixed heart disease.

Death 602: A 61-year-old man from Chisinau, hospitalized at the Republican Clinical Hospital, on June 30. Comorbidities: type 2 diabetes, hypertension gr. II, mixed heart disease.

Death 603: 78-year-old man from Bălţi municipality, hospitalized at Bălţi Clinical Hospital, on July 2. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. III, hypertensive heart disease, stroke.

According to MSMPS, 1647 tests were performed today.

Of the total number of cases today, 15 are healthcare workers.

The balance of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 18,141 cases.
