COVID-19: 380 new cases confirmed

380 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in Moldova, of which eight in the Transnistrian region. At the same time, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS) informs that five more people die from coronavirus.

In all 25,113 people were infected with coronavirus.

2322 tests were performed today.

Of the total number of cases, 14 are among healthcare workers.

According to MSMPS, to date, 17571 people were treated.

At the same time, the ministry informs about the registration of other deaths caused by COVID-19:

Death 784: 66-year-old woman from Cantemir district. Admitted on July 28, at the Cantemir District Hospital. Comorbidities: cardiomyopathy, diabetes, hypertension.

Death 785: 87-year-old man from Chisinau. Transferred on July 23, from the Municipal Clinical Hospital at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: diabetes, hypertensive heart disease, hypertension.

Death 786: 53-year-old man from Dubasari district. Transferred on July 25, from Straseni District Hospital to the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: mixed heart disease, mixed encephalopathy.

Death 787: 66-year-old man from Dubasari district. Transferred on July 29 from Orhei District Hospital, to the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: hypertension, hypertensive heart disease, dysmetabolic.

Death 788: 77-year-old man from Chisinau. Interned on July 31, at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Comorbidities: mixed pulmonary edema (alveolar, interstitial).
