Covid-19 in Moldova: Another 161 confirmed cases. The total of infected persons reached 752
Another 161 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the number of infected persons reached 752 cases. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ion Chicu after the meeting of the Single Command Center for crisis management caused by the COVID-19 virus.
Today, 680 samples were processed. Of the confirmed cases, 11 are of import, and 150 cases are of local infection.
"Only in Soroca 40 cases are confirmed today, and in Stefan Voda 30. There are many cases in these two district centers. So the quarantine regime set up in these district centers is very welcome," said Ion Chicu.
According to the prime minister, so far, there are 215 cases of infection among medical workers, 55 of them are from the districts Stefan Voda and Soroca.
Three more deaths were confirmed today as a result of Covid-19 infection. These are the 27-year-old girl from the Transnistrian region, confirmed by the authorities, and other two women 65 and 57 respectively from Chisinau. Thus, the coronavirus death rate reaches 12.
