COVID-19 in Moldova: Eight more deaths and 258 new cases of infection
Another 258 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova. All cases are with local transmission. Also today, eight more people died due to the new Coronavirus.
The balance of people infected with Coronavirus reached 18,924.
In total, 1,819 tests were performed today: primary - 1,254 and repeated - 565.
Of the total number of cases on this day, 13 are medical workers: doctors - four, nurses - eight, support staff - one.
During the day, two women from the capital, aged 70 and 72, but also three other women aged 53, 61 and 66, from the Transnistrian region, Calarasi district and Orhei district, died. Also, three men, aged between 65 and 80, from Balti, Comrat and Drochia districts, were killed by the virus. We specify that in the morning, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announced about three other deaths caused by COVID-19.
The death toll reached 632 in the Republic of Moldova, and 12,188 people were treated by COVID-19.
