COVID-19 in Moldova: 868 new cases confirmed

Another 868 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in Moldova. 2,913 tests were performed. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), five cases are imported from Turkey, Germany and Romania. The balance of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 50,534 cases.

Out of the total number of cases, 51 are healthcare workers: 14 doctors, 34 nurses, 3 auxiliary staff.

According to the quoted source, 571 people infected with COVID-19 are hospitalized in serious health condition, of which 36 patients are connected to assisted breathing.

Another 417 people were treated and discharged.

Also, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths caused by COVID-19. Thus, the balance of people killed by the infection reached 1,279.
