COVID - 19 in Moldova: 55 more cases confirmed. The balance reached 353
Another 55 cases of Coronavirus infection have been confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the balance reaches 353 infected persons. The information was unveiled by the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu after the meeting of the Single Command Center for crisis management caused by COVID-19 virus.
"280 tests have been made today. As a result, we have 55 positive cases of COVID -19. Seven cases are of import, six from the UK and one from Austria. Forty eight cases are with local transmission Chisinau, 11 from Stefan-Voda; 10 - Soroca; 9 - Transnistria; 7 - Cahul; 5 - Ialoveni; 2 - Briceni, a case in Orhei, Sîngerei and Taraclia,” mentioned the Minister of Health.
At the same time, the minister came with some details in the context of the information regarding the death of a person infected with COVID-19 from Transnistria. She said that following the request for information from the medical institutions in the Transnistrian region, this case was confirmed.
The Minister of Health has announced yet another death caused by the COVID-19 virus. It is about a man from the Briceni district, but who was admitted to the hospital in Edineţ.
"Also today, we have the information in the context of a patient, who was admitted to the hospital in Edinet. But it is about a man from another district, who died and I want to tell you that when the evidence was taken because there was suspicion at COVID - 19, the information was hidden that that person was in contact with certain people, as a result this person came in contact with an imposing number, including medical workers,” said Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
Also, during today, 4 patients were discharged whose repeated checks have denied the presence of the virus in their bodies. According to the latest data, for the moment, there are 22 patients who have been treated with COVID-19 infection.
Also today, in Moldova, a batch of 5,770 tests and another 2,400 tests, obtained from the sources of the Global Fund, arrived.
